Identifying the core problems 💡

Smokers trying to quit face deep psychological and emotional barriers. We designed a solution that is not only practical but also empathetic, motivating, and grounded in behavioral science.

Research-Driven Approach 🔬

We combined primary research (interviews, questionnaires) and secondary research (literature review, app analysis) to understand emotional triggers for smoking, failures in current digital tools, and psychological needs during withdrawal. We found several important keys to begin our solution definition.

Building Experience 📱

LumiAir features Luma, an AI-powered glowing orb that supports users through their quit journey. The app offers daily challenges, real-time chat support, and quick tools like mini-games and mindfulness activities to manage cravings. Progress is tracked through streaks and savings, while a reward system and smartwatch integration keep users motivated and engaged.

Iterative Prototyping 🔁

Based on early feedback, we removed the homepage avatar to reduce emotional burden. In the hi-fi stage, we refined the navigation, improved challenge timing, and enhanced the AI chat experience. The prototype was built in Figma and tested using Maze and live user sessions for validation.
